Brentwood is the rare Westside pocket where current houses still sit on public streets. The denser celebrity maps are a few minutes east — or a fire zone west — and they end at a booth.
Beverly Park

Highest current A-list density in the city — and a 24-hour guard gate. You will see a booth on Beverly Park Circle, not a facade. Do not follow a resident through.
Bel-Air

More money per lot than Brentwood. Hotel Bel-Air is the public pause; the East/West gates are not. The Fresh Prince house is not here.
Pacific Palisades

Three places you can actually get out
California lets you photograph what is visible from a public street. That is not the same as being welcome. Most of this loop is a rolling pass. These three are the exception.

Brentwood Country Mart
Park in the lot. Photograph the red barn, the courtyard, the clock tower. This is a shopping street, not a house. Best light late afternoon.
- Sidewalk only, one frame
Fresh Prince facade
The only house on the loop that is famous for its front. One frame from the public sidewalk. Stay off the lawn and out of the driveway. Then leave.
- Get out — photos welcome
Hotel Bel-Air + Holmby Park
Go inside the hotel if you want the swans. Across from The Manor, Holmby Park is a legal curb. The Getty Center is ten minutes north if you want a real photo day.
After the houses
Scenic drives off the loop
Rodeo is a shopping street. The views start when you leave the flats. Skip Topanga and Palisades Canyon for now — fire repair is still chewing those roads.

Mulholland Drive
From Hotel Bel-Air: Beverly Glen north. From Holmby: Coldwater or Benedict north.
The ridge of the Santa Monica Mountains. City on one side, Valley on the other, Hollywood Sign if you go east. Two-lane, slow, pullouts at the overlooks. Golden hour or after dark for lights. This is the drive people mean.

Greystone + Trousdale
905 Loma Vista Drive, five minutes from Sunset and Doheny.
Greystone Mansion is a city park, 10am–6pm, gardens and a basin view — the rare Beverly Hills estate that wants visitors. Then crawl Trousdale Estates: mid-century boxes on a plateau, public streets, more facade than Beverly Park. No gate.

Sunset west to the Getty
You are already on Sunset for most of this loop.
Eucalyptus canyons through Bel-Air, then Sepulveda up to the Getty Center tram. Real photo stop, not a house. Do not continue into Palisades expecting the old ocean drop — the 2025 fire still shows, and Topanga has repair delays.
How to drive it
From the public street only
These are private homes, not attractions. Stay in the car, keep the stereo down, and never block a driveway. Fifth Helena is a cul-de-sac — one slow pass. The Fresh Prince corner draws crowds; do not pose in the driveway. Hotel Bel-Air is the only stop that welcomes walk-ins.
- Park at the Country Mart, not on Bristol or Rockingham.
- No drones, no gate-buzzing, no knocking.
- Addresses are long-published on star maps and news listings.
- Ownership changes. Facades stay. Be a guest of the street, not the house.
