Television producer Aaron Spelling built The Manor in 1988 — 56,500 square feet, 123 rooms, 14 bedrooms, 27 baths — on a lot that once held a Depression-era mansion. Tori Spelling grew up here; Candy Spelling later sold it to Petra Ecclestone. From the street it reads as a Loire Valley hotel dropped onto Mapleton. Pair it with the Playboy Mansion around the corner and you have Holmby Hills in two stops: old Hollywood eccentricity and 1980s television money, side by side. From here, Sunset west returns you to the Country Mart.
